With the ban on the sale of beer at World Cup stadiums now official, alarm bells have gone off among fans.
As England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale said when he heard the news: “If the fans can’t drink, we’ll have to play better.”
But even if drinking beer at stadiums has been banned, there are other places where it will be available.
Where will it be possible to drink beer, for how much and at what price?

Official stalls
Beer will be available at the official FIFA Fan Zones, where fans from all over the world can gather and enjoy matches on giant screens.
There is one in the center of Al Bidda Park. The Fan Zones can hold 40,000 people, giant screens, light shows, food stalls from around the world and musical performances from foreign artists such as Maluma and Myriam Fares.
Hotels and restaurants
Beer is available in the city’s hotels and restaurants, especially international ones.
The menus offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, but those who wish to drink should bear in mind that prices are higher than normal and can only be consumed inside the establishments.
In the VIP box of the stadiums
The VIP boxes are the only places where alcohol can be consumed inside the stadiums.
Soft drinks, wines, beers, champagne, spirits and all kinds of premium beverages will be available. However, in order to access them you will have to pay $22,000 and up.
How many times can a person consume and how much do they cost?
In official places each person will be able to have four half liter beers, at a little more than 30 dollars per liter.
