Jenny Agutter, a cast member of the BBC drama “Call the Midwife,” claimed in a recent interview that Tom Cruise‘s commute in Britain is interfering with the show’s filming.
The 69-year-old actress complained to Mirror that Tom Cruise “keeps on ruining our filming by landing his helicopter right outside where we’re shooting.”
The “Top Gun” actor, who is also a licensed pilot, is said to have flown his helicopter over the Surrey, England, set of “Midwife,” creating quite a commotion as the cast tried to shoot sequences. It seems that Cruise is in town to shoot “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two.”
Agutter, who portrays Sister Julienne, was asked if she would lecture Cruise about his reportedly impolite habits while riding a motorcycle.
“In my habit! Imagine. ‘Excuse me, Tom, but look, we’re trying to film. I don’t know about you, but just get your helicopter out of here quickly!'” she added.
Tom Cruise loves flying
Cruise is accustomed to flying. He is so skilled in the air that he is renowned for performing all of his own stunts in the “Top Gun” movies.
“I always thought there’s something that I can do and I wanted to push the art form. I thought, ‘How can I immerse an audience into a movie with this kind of action? And how can I entertain them? What can I do?'” said Cruise at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Cruise wants to become the first actor to shoot a movie in space, with the intention of doing it on the International Space Station.
“I think Tom Cruise is taking us to space, he’s taking the world to space,” Universal Filmed Entertainment Group Chairman Donna Langley said, according to BBC News. “That’s the plan. We have a great project in development with Tom … Taking a rocket up to the Space Station and shooting.”
