Liverpool are favorites to sign Jude. Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund this summer Sky in Germany says

Sky spoke of Germany’s Florian Plettenberg on Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham: “There were three goals – Real Madrid, Man City and Liverpool. Liverpool were one of the favourites, and Jurgen Klopp pushed, pushed him and said he was No. his 1 transfer target”

Liverpool remain favorites to sign Jude. Borussia’s talented Bellingham Dortmund this summer Although there will be competition from Manchester City and Real Madrid, according to Sky in Germany.

Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg in Germany told the Transfer Show that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is “pushing, pushing, pushing” to bring the 19-year-old back to England to improve his midfield side.

Bellingham performed for England during last year’s World Cup in Qatar. He was also shortlisted for the 2022 European Golden Boy award. He has been in fine form for Dortmund in Europe and the Bundesliga, scoring 10 goals in 23 games in all competitions.

Klopp hinted in January that his squad will undergo major changes this summer. With Liverpool ninth in the Premier League and 10 points clear of Champions League qualifying, the midfielder is his top target.

“We all thought Bellingham would leave the club this summer. And there is no way Dortmund can keep him right now,” Plettenberg said.

“But he has an unconditional release contract. So the price tag is very high. Dortmund want between 100-150 million euros for him in the summer.

“There are three targets for him – Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool. Liverpool are one of the favourites, and Jurgen Klopp is pushing, pushing, pushing him and saying he is his number one transfer target.

“Klopp has yet to speak to Bellingham personally. But it’s been talked to with people like Julian Ward, now they just have to find out who’s paying.”

Klopp has previously spoken publicly about Bellingham several times. And labeled him “excellent” last month following his World Cup performance.

The view from Germany: Will Bellingham leave Dortmund?
BILD TV reporter Valentina Maceri spoke to Sky Sports News:

“Our information is a conversation between Bellingham’s executives, his father, and Borussia Dortmund, scheduled for March.

“Dortmund executives Sebastian Kehl and Hans-Joachim Watzke are doing everything they can to keep him at Dortmund. They gave him history as the highest-paid player of all time at Borussia Dortmund.

“If he chooses to extend his contract He will earn around 15 million euros per season, Marco Reus is now the highest paid player at Dortmund around 12 million euros per season.

“But at the moment I’m not so sure that Bellingham will extend his contract with Dortmund.

“Bellingham wanted to play for Liverpool but had money problems. He wasn’t right. He could have paid €140-150m and had Real Madrid. Madrid and Manchester City are in the race. They have a lot more money than Liverpool.

“At the moment, Liverpool are not qualified for the Champions League. This is an important point to consider as well. I still think Bellingham wants to play for Liverpool. That’s my courage.”

Analysis: Liverpool could compete financially with Bellingham
Sky Sports News chief correspondent Kaveh Solhekol:

“From a career point of view Perhaps it would make the most sense for Bellingham to go to Real. Madrid later in his career.

“It’s not a move he has to make now. from a football point of view I think Liverpool was the perfect move for him in the summer.

“People ask if Liverpool can compete if they go into a bidding war with a team like Man City. City and Real Madrid, assuming both teams can afford to pay more than Liverpool.”

“I don’t think that’s the case if you look at Man City in recent times. On several occasions they walked away from a deal where they felt the valuation was wrong.

“I don’t think Real Madrid will spend more in the transfer market than Liverpool either. From everything we’ve heard, Liverpool is his most likely target of the summer.”
