SPORTMAX.LIVE – Erik ten Hag admitted that he had no difficulty making a decision regarding the fate of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United at that time.

The coach, Erik ten Hag recently opened his voice regarding the situation that occurred at that time.

“I have a reason. That is very clear and I also know the consequences,” said Erik ten Hag quoted by the Mirror.

“But I’m not worried. I also sleep well, even on those nights,” explained the former Ajax Amsterdam coach.

According to Erik ten Hag, the decision was made for the good of the team and the club.

As coach of Manchester United, it is his responsibility to maintain stability in the squad.

The 53-year-old coach then emphasized that he would face all the consequences, whether good or bad, about his decision.

“I have to take decisions to move the club and the team forward,” he said.

“It’s my job and it’s a responsibility that I have–and I have to support that decision.”

“I have to face the consequences and impact of my decisions, not only in the short term but also in the long term,” explained the Dutch tactician.

At that time, he did not have enough time to make a decision about Ronaldo’s future with MU.

However, that short time must be used to make decisions based on mature and strategic thinking.

“Of course, you don’t always have a lot of time,” he continued.

“In that period I remember we had 10 days so I can consider which option is best.”

“You always have to think strategically. But that is my job and it is a responsibility that I have to take,” explained the MU coach.

So far ten Hag’s decisions have been successful.
