Having injured players back can boost Chelsea for last push – Talk Chelsea

One of the many reasons that I am refusing to write off our season and our Champions League qualification is because of the amount of players we have soon returning from injury.

The prospect of having our recovering players soon back in the squad, gives me some real hope and a huge boost.

The likes of Wesley Fofana, N’Golo Kante, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and even Denis Zakaria have all been missing lately with injuries. But getting that chunk of players back very soon now, will really help Chelsea push on as they attack the second half of the season, and along with all the new signings that have come in, will make Chelsea much stronger and help them climb back up the table.

Champions League qualification is so important, and I’m still adamant and passionate about the fact that we still need to sign another new midfielder this month to be able to really challenge for it this season, but the returning injured players will be massive regardless.

James and Chilwell should be available for the next game against Fulham, and Fofana and Zakaria shouldn’t be far behind them. Kante is also going to be back in Feb/March, so even that is not that far away now.

They will need all these players as they look to climb from mid-table in 10th spot, back up towards a more respectable finish to the season, and even the Chamions League competition itself, which they are still in of course.

Some of these lads coming back will be better than any new signings!
