Manchester United are already looking to the summer transfer window as they look to build on the work done by Erik ten Hag, who took charge of his side against West Ham on Wednesday.
Manchester United will be hoping to carry their momentum forward when they host West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night.
United are still riding high after beating Newcastle to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday night. After going six years without a trophy, they are still in the running to win three more this season, with the team still in the FA Cup, Premier League and Europa League.
Erik ten Hag’s side are on a 10-match unbeaten run in all competitions going into Wednesday night’s game. The Dutchman is likely to rotate his squad for the clash, with several tired bodies in the squad following a brutal eight-game schedule in February.
United, who beat Reading in the previous round of the FA Cup, have several injury worries ahead of the game. Meanwhile there has been some news regarding a takeover of the club and plans for a summer transfer.
Here are all the latest news from the club.
Martial is still not available
Ten Hag spoke to reporters on Tuesday to review the West Ham game. While most of the focus has been on the Carabao Cup clash, he has also provided some team news.
Luke Shaw and Fred both started United’s eight matches in February – and they are expected to be rested for the fifth round tie against the Hammers. Meanwhile, Antony Martial is not fit enough to return to the squad after picking up an injury on February 1 vs Nottingham Forest.
“Anthony Martial is unavailable and Luke Shaw and Fred are questions for tomorrow,” said Ten Hag on Tuesday.
West Ham will be without Lukasz Fabianski and Vladimir Coufal, who were both injured in the 4-0 win over Forest at the weekend.
List of Ten Hag transfer options

Ten Hag has reportedly helped put together a shortlist of six players for Manchester United’s transfer targets this summer – and that includes Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
United had an initial transfer fee of £56.2 million agreed with Barca before the season to sign De Jong, but he ultimately refused to move. That transfer saga could return this summer, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that Ten Hag remains determined to land him.
Other players of interest include Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, Tottenham striker Harry Kane, Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen, Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos and Mohammed Kudus, who was coached by Ten Hag at Ajax.
The Glazers received a new offer

Things have calmed down a bit during the takeover in recent days after a flurry of activity around the Glazers’ lenient deadline.
But Tuesday brought news of a new bidder in the race, with Luxembourg-based hedge fund Genevra Associates posing as a possible candidate for the investment.
The company has “expressed interest” in buying a minority stake in the club and wants to work with the Glazers’ current majority owner, rather than make a full purchase.
“We understand that United fans have been frustrated over the past few years. Our aim is to act as a reforming force that aligns the interests of owners and fans and drives the much needed transformation at the club,” said Shah Farsi of Genevra.
