Two bids were submitted for Mudryk by Arsenal, the first being a £55million package deal, but both were swiftly rejected by the Ukrainian club, football.london understands. After weeks of negotiations, it looks like a deal could be at an advanced stage after a new report outlining Edu’s moves to push for an end to the move.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Edu traveled to Warsaw, where Shakhtar Donetsk are currently based, on the same day Mikel Arteta refused to mention Mudryk at a press conference.

Eyed with Fresneda as the next signing

Arsenal look to know what their next move will be in the January window once the transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk is finalised. The Gunners are one of several clubs keeping tabs on Real Vallodolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, who is also a target for Newcastle, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

A Twitter post from PucelaNews_1928, a Vallodolid newspaper, says the 18-year-old wants to make Arsenal his next club. They also say the Gunners are interested but ask for patience while they secure the final details of the transfer for Mudryk.

Fabrizio Romano also recently revealed the latest on Fresneda’s future, revealing that the teenager has yet to make up his mind about his future. The young Spaniard made eight La Liga appearances this season and will see his Vallodolid contract expire in June 2025.

Trossard opportunity

A major update on the future of Brighton star Leandro Trossard has now been revealed as it appears a January departure will happen to the Seagulls.

The Gunners have been monitoring the status of the Belgian international with Chelsea and Tottenham interested as well following new claim Roberto De Zerbi.

Speaking ahead of the game against Liverpool, he said: “Leandro Trossard is not in the squad for the next game. The last session before last game, understanding that he wasn’t playing, left the session without telling me anything. I told him I don’t like this attitude,” he said.

Trossard’s agent Josy Comhair then released a statement about the situation with his client that circulated on social media and emphasized an impending sale in Trossard’s wiiiiiiiinter window.

Although a one-year extension on Trossard’s contract was recently activated, a cut-price transfer could be secured for the 28-year-old as the two parties are likely to want to cut ties immediately.

At CIES Football Observatory, Trossard is valued at £17.8million which would be tempting for Arsenal to swoop in for a proven Premier League player.
