Club ‘fighting’ to keep Toon target after interest from Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Dortmund

According to Fabrizio Romano, both Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are still very interested in Leeds’ Cody Drameh with the Yorkshire club now ‘fighting’ to keep hold of the young right-back.

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is very keen to keep hold of the 21-year-old, suggesting that he will have some playing opportunities at Elland Road this season.

The American has also ruled out the possibility of a loan move, although a permanent deal would certainly suit Eddie Howe a lot more.

Drameh has played just four times for Leeds in the Premier League – once so far this season in a 5-2 defeat to Brentford – and clearly has a lot of work to do before he is a first-team regular.

At just 21-years-old, Drameh could be the perfect back-up for Kieran Trippier to develop and grow under the guidance of the experienced England international who will soon be nearing the end of his prime.

Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also interested – but Jesse Marsch will push again to keep Cody Drameh by suggesting playing opportunities.
