In a meeting that they dominated head and shoulders, Chelsea players revived against Bournemouth (2-0) in the Premier League. After three defeats in a row, the Blues come back to 6 points behind Tottenham, fourth.

The Blues then eased off and let the Bournemouth players out of their camp. On yet another bad raise, the Cherries even had the opportunity to close the gap, by Ryan Christie, but Kepa Arrizabalaga was vigilant (79th). If they never managed to kill the suspense despite opportunities for Sterling, Koulibaly or Gallagher, the Blues can be satisfied with a controlled meeting and in particular a first hour of high-level play.
