Dejan Kulusevski is expected to return for Tottenham in Sunday’s north London derby, while Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur could also be available for Antonio Conte.
Spurs host Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in a big clash as the home side hope to keep pace with the top four as the Gunners look to maintain their impressive five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
Conte has been without Kulusevski, Richarlison and Bentancur in recent weeks and, although two doubts remain, he is confident the Swede is fit and available after a muscle problem.
“The news will definitely get better, especially for Deki, for Kulusevski,” Conte told a news conference on Friday. ‘He trained with us the last few days. He will be ready to play.’
Richarlison and Bentancur suffered injuries at the World Cup, playing Brazil and Uruguay respectively, and are trailing Kulusevski in their recoveries but could still return on Sunday.
‘About Richy and Rodrigo, both situations are improving. I think that at this moment Deki is much more ready to play and especially not to take risks”, said Conte.
‘For us, it is important to have patience before this period and not risk speeding up and losing them for a long period. We will see.
‘We have another training session tomorrow to monitor the situation with Rodrigo and Richy.’
Yves Bissouma is also available for the Arsenal clash, meaning Tottenham’s injury woes are almost over.
Conte is only left without Lucas Moura for the visit of the Gunners.
Leandro Trossard Roberto De Zerbi confirms Belgian striker will not feature for Brighton against Liverpool due to attitude and behavior issues
Leandro Trossard has been left out of Brighton’s squad for Liverpool’s visit to the Amex on Saturday afternoon; The 25-year-old left training without speaking to manager Roberto De Zerbi after learning he would not be playing against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last weekend
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Leandro Trossard will not be in the squad for Liverpool’s visit after displaying a poor attitude in training.
The 25-year-old has not played for the Seagulls since their 4-2 defeat at Premier League leaders Arsenal on New Year’s Eve and is known to have trained alone this week due to what De Zerbi deemed bad behaviour. .
“Leandro is not on the list of tomorrow’s players,” he told reporters at a press conference on Friday afternoon.
“Leandro knows my opinion very well. In the last training session before the game against Middlesbrough, when he understood that he was not going to play, he left training without saying anything to me and that is not good.
“On Monday, I spoke to him and explained that I don’t like this attitude, this behavior.
“He knows very well if he waaaaaaaaaants to play for Brighton with me, he has to work hard, he has to run, he has to be on the right path because we are not a big team, a Real Madrid, Barcelona or another big, big team. We are Brighton and we need players who work like other players.
There are reports of interest from Tottenham in Belgian international Trossard, whose contract expires this summer, although Brighton have the option to extend his contract by a further 12 months.
Sky Sports News understands that the club have not yet triggered the extension option and have until the end of March to do so.
De Zerbi, however, declined to comment on the transfer speculation when asked.
